Osiris SWIR Camera

16 MPixel SWIR Scanning Camera

The Osiris is a 16MPixel Short Wave Infra-Red scanning camera featuring an InGaAs sensor for imaging in the 0.9um to 1.7um range. Resolution is fully selectable from 0.25MPixel to a massive 16MPixels. Contact us for further details or visit our partners Opus Instruments. The SWIR photographs below show a silicon wafer imaged from the top and from the back. With silicon appearing transparent at these wavelengths, hidden detail can be revealed imaging from the back surface.

Designed in collaboration with the Nation Gallery (London), the camera has an extensive history of use within the fields of art conservation and restoration. However, the high resolution SWIR images produced by the Osiris can be put to use in a variety of other applications, such as:

  • Static thermography 200˚C to 1600˚C
  • Under-drawing detection – murals
  • Under-drawing detection – aircraft
  • Optical Coherence Tomography
  • Hot glass inspection
  • Electroluminescence
  • Photoluminescence
  • Moisture detection
  • Molten metal impurity detection
  • Forensics
  • Bank note examination
