Astroimaging Competition Vote Now Open

By Jo on

Our competition is now open to the public vote!

We’ve been absolutely amazed by the standard of images this year, from stunning captures of old favourites like M42 and the Rosette Nebula, to objects never before seen in our gallery. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s entered, it’s been a real pleasure to see so many talented and active astrophotographers from all over the world.

View entries

As a little thank you, we displayed our favourite image from each entrant at Astrofest in London in February for all the world (or at least all of Astrofest) to see.

The main vote is taking place right here on our website, with full voting instructions over on our competition page. We’ll also be accepting votes throughout the Astrofest show. As only one image from each entrant is being displayed, these will count as astrophotographer votes rather than individual entry votes, as not to unfairly skew the overall result. The images that receive the highest number of public votes will also go on to be judged by our expert panel. They’ll take into account the quality of the image, the composition, the equipment used and difficulty of the object. The panel’s vote will then be combined with the public vote and an overall winner will be announced.

Hall of Fame

It’s always been Atik’s goal to try and make high quality astrophotography available to as many people as possible, and the standard of images appearing in our gallery is a real testament to that.

If you have any questions, get in touch on competition@atik-cameras.com, and remember that even while our gallery’s closed, you can still share your images with us on social media, or over on our forum.

In the meantime, let the voting commence!
