2012 Competition

The quality of the 2012 competition entries has been outstanding. Interestingly this is the first year where the category III entries (large format) have outnumbered those from category II, reflecting the influence the Atik 383 is having. However it’s been our older style cameras that have grabbed the runners up positions. After counting the 500 votes cast it’s my pleasure to announce the winners.

Runners up prizes go to

Kostas Stavropoulos for his M13 taken with an Atik 16IC

Vlad Niculescu for his M33 picture taken with an Artemis 285

And the winner is
Leonardo Orazi and his Vdb149 picture using an Atik383L+

The runners up have chosen off axis guiders and Leonardo has an Atik 428ex on its way to him.

Thank you to everyone who shared there pictures and voted.  The 2013 competition should open in November.

The Atik Imaging contest for 2011 is now closed.

We have received the largest number of entries ever for our imaging competition and the standard this year is very high indeed.  All the pictures were printed and displayed at the Astrofest show in London where attendees had a chance to vote for their favorite.  These votes were added to the online voting to determine the most popular.

The Winners for 2011 are
