2012 Competition

The 2012 imaging competition is now open for entries. As before we invite images taken with Atik cameras to be submitted. The 3 categories are

  • I Images taken with Titan or Atik 16IC etc
  • II Images taken with Atik 314L+, 314E, 320E etc
  • III Images taken with Atik 383L+, Atik 4000 and Atik 11000 etc

The deadline for entries is January 12th 2012. We will endeavor to get entries on the website as there are submitted so please email us as soon as you have something. Multiple entries are welcomed but we reserve the right to limit the number to 3 per individual if we need to.  We reserve the right to use pictures submited to the competition in our marketing.
Prizes will be along the same lines as last year (Atik 383L+) but may be a camera not yet announced!  Send your pictures to Competition@Atik-cameras.com (jpg format only).

2011 Imaging Competition

The Atik Imaging contest for 2011 is now closed.

We have received the largest number of entries ever for our imaging competition and the standard this year is very high indeed.  All the pictures were printed and displayed at the Astrofest show in London where attendees had a chance to vote for their favorite.  These votes were added to the online voting to determine the most popular.

The Winners for 2011 are

Overall Winner

Category 2: Image 35, by Michel Lefevre, with a spectacular image of M42.

Runners up.

Category 1: Image 4, M76 taken by Kostas Stavropoulos with an Atik 16-ic.
Category 3: Image 140, by Dick Van Tatenhove, IC1848 taken with an Atik 383L+.

2010 Imaging Competition

The runners up were 29 Steve Carter and 192 Tom O Donoghue. The overall winner was 52 Antonios Rossolatos.

2009 Imaging Competition

The first Atik Imaging competition was run in the early part of 2009. Thanks to every body who entered and voted.

The runners up were:
Section 2 For Atik 314s, Atik 16s and Artemis 285 +429 - Picture 75 from Reinhold Wittich
Section 3 For Artemis and Atik large format cameras- Picture 156 from Jose Manuel

The overall winner was: Picture 32 from George Ioannidis (Section 1 - Atik 16IC and 16IC-S)
