Steve ChambersChief Executive
Steve’s fascination with astronomy began with amateur telescope-making. His interest developed when he became involved with a community of astronomers who used web-cams for astronomical imagery before later moving on to use cooled 16-bit cameras. Steve is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm for astronomy, and, in addition to contributing to online forums, he is frequently to be found promoting Atik’s cameras at trade shows all around the globe.
Rui TripaProduction Manager
Rui Tripa oversees the manufacture of Atik’s cameras in Portugal. He is highly experienced in the field of astronomy, with a background in an astronomical retail business as well as making large refractor telescopes.. He is also responsible for many of the mechanical of Atik products.
Jonathan BurchLead Programmer
Jonathan has worked in software for astronomy for most of his professional life. He spent several years at the Royal Greenwich Observatory developing software for the William Herschel Telescope before joining the software group at the Isaac Newton Group at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos on La Palma, in the Canary Islands. He then spent several years working on automated satellite observation systems before joining Atik.
Roger HoldenLead Developer
Roger has over 30 years’ electronic design and support experience in a wide variety of industries, including wireline and radio communications, computing servers and industrial control. This has included the design of telescope control and drive systems and implementation of remote sensing. Roger’s many interests outside of work include astronomy, industrial archaeology and good food.
Vince BygraveProduct Support
Vince has been an active amateur astronomer and imager for the past 10 years and brings a huge depth of experience of our hobby. This puts him in a great position to understand the customers requirements and provide support.
