10 GbE Camera
XGbE-60
Our most recent camera operates as a native 10 GbE IP device, integrating effortlessly into SSA/SDA network infrastructures. Perfect for multi-camera installations, it ensures reliable performance across complex imaging systems.
Built around the Sony IMX455 full-frame CMOS sensor and a 16-bit ADC, the XGbE-60 delivers high-resolution 9576 × 6380 imagery with the bandwidth headroom to stream uncompressed frames across distributed observation networks.
- SFP+: Ethernet connectivity up to 10 Gb/s
- Network-based architecture
- Liquid-cooled version available
- Sony IMX455 full-frame CMOS sensor
- GPS synchronization
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
Designed
to scale.
The XGbE-60 is engineered to operate as part of a coordinated cluster, where multiple cameras feed a centralized server array through a high-throughput Ethernet backbone. Each unit streams independently over its own 10 Gb/s SFP+ link, eliminating the bandwidth contention typical of daisy-chained or USB-bound imaging systems. This architecture allows for long-distance connectivity between the camera and host systems, removing traditional cabling limitations.
An aggregating switch consolidates the camera traffic and forwards it to the main acquisition server over a 100 Gb/s QSFP uplink, with a parallel path to a redundant backup server for failover and continuous archival. This topology scales linearly: adding cameras requires only an additional switch port and a fiber run, not a redesign of the host architecture.
A GPS reference feeds precise timestamps and synchronization signals into the server, through PTP and NTP, ensuring frame-level temporal alignment across every camera in the cluster.
More than a camera, a powerful imaging platform.
Each camera can be individually managed and monitored, allowing operators to scale from a single unit to a large, synchronized array with ease. It includes LED signaling for visually flagging alerts that require operator attention and a liquid-cooled version for environments where thermal stability directly impacts data quality and reliability.
